Megawide is one of the best managed companies in the Philippines, a poll among Asian business personalities has found.
On 28 June 2023, the Company won big at FinanceAsia’s 27th annual awards held in Hong Kong.

- Best Consumer Cyclicals Company (Gold)
- Best CEO – Edgar Saavedra (Silver)
This is the third time that Megawide topped the Best Company in the Philippines category.
FinanceAsia polled a community of investors and financial analysts to evaluate entrants’ corporate performance.
Emerging strong
In his acceptance speech, Edgar emphasized Megawide’s perseverance through and since the pandemic. “We believe that the way forward is more important than past performance,” Saavedra said. “We are using the learnings from the pandemic to build a stronger, more relevant, and responsible corporate citizen.” He then thanked the Asian investment community for seeing this value in Megawide.
FinanceAsia is a Hong Kong-based publication which reports on Asia’s financial and capital markets. Its Best Companies in Asia Poll enlisted the region’s active community of investors and financial analysts to select nominees, who were evaluated based on corporate behavior and performance.
