Megawide is keeping its offices drug-free.
On May 25, the Company joined 29 of the country’s leading firms in supporting “Buhay Ingatan, Droga’y Ayawan Workplace” (BIDA), a program with the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG). Megawide inked a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Interior Secretary Benjamin Abalos to seal the partnership.
“This underlines Megawide’s partnership with the government against illegal drugs,” said Jason Torres, AVP for Corporate Affairs. “The DILG can count on Megawide’s full support through its various companies and subsidiaries.”
BIDA Workplace underlines the private sector’s “shared responsibility” to counter illegal drugs. The program urges companies to take stricter measures, such as random drug testing of employees.
A BIDA-Drug Free Workplace Seal will be granted companies who implement policies aligned with BIDA’s vision.
