The Megawide Cebu Operations team attended the first-ever Cebu Town Hall Meeting called Mega Bai last 22 March 2018 at the BIG Hotel in Mandaue City. Megawide Chairman and CEO Edgar Saavedra attended the event, together with other Megawide executives.
Mega Bai is the Cebu town hall event, similar to Mornings with the Bossings, where employees receive relevant updates on the business straight from the Megawide bosses. But more than the updates, the event highlights an important message, which Boss Ed himself delivered in his talk.
“Why hold Mega Bai here in Cebu? We want you to feel that you are part of a bigger Megawide family. Hindi kayo naiiwanan.”
The Cebu team has grown by 80% in the first quarter of 2019. Today, employees are distributed in four ongoing projects – Mandani Bay Quay, Taft East Gate, One Manchester Place, and Plumera.
Boss Ed also revealed that Megawide plans to expand its presence in Cebu.
“Maraming opportunities for growth and business. At kasabay nun, gusto namin kayo rin may future.” He hinted on the upcoming training and programs that will be organized by Human Resources for Cebu employees.
Aside from giving the latest news about the company, Mega Bai also launched in Cebu the new Megawide tagline, Engineering A First-World Philippines. This was followed by the relaunch of the Whistbleblowing Campaign SAPAK and the employee idea platform Mega Idea, which further promote an inclusive company culture within the growing Megawide family.
