Megawide continuously innovates to provide better service to the Filipino people. Management recently gave the direction to move from subcontracting to direct-dealing with the workers, which means we have begun building our own manpower pool to deliver results based on Megawide’s specialized standards. The ultimate goal? To build our very own Megawide Skills Training and Assessment Center, and the first step to this is TESDA training certification!
Five Megawide employees are the first in the company to acquire TESDA training certification:
- Louie Galicia, HR Manager for Learning and Development
- Brezildo Sildo, Technical Trainer for Learning and Development
- Lino Villanueva, Skills Trainer for Learning and Development
- Jocelyn Bual, Forewoman
- Edwin Chiquillo, Foreman
The group trained for five days before taking the National Asessment on Ocober 24, 2019 at the Manila International Skill Academy (MISA) located in Sta. Ana, Manila.
“I’m personally very happy and proud as we are now one step closer to our goal of establishing the Megawide Skills Training and Assessment Center,” Louie Galicia, HR Manager for Learning and Development, said. “With continuous learning and development in construction skills, we stay true to our mission to be at the forefront of building a first world Philippines through engineering excellence and innovation. Not only will this ensure quality of output, but this will also be our contribution to the government’s Build, Build, Build program, and to nation building as a whole,” he continued.
Congratulations to our TESDA-certified colleagues! Your Megawide family is proud of you!
